The Essential Services Provider Announces Three Holiday-Themed Initiatives With the Local Organization
Stream, a leading direct selling company and provider of essential services, is pairing up with Dallas-based organization Operation Once in a Lifetime for three charitable initiatives during the month of December. In the holiday spirit and right in line with Stream’s philanthropic commitment to veterans, Stream will help provide financial and moral support to local veterans and their families.
This upcoming Friday (Dec. 11) Stream will donate coach bus transportation and offer up its employees as volunteers for a lunch for 50 homeless and less fortunate military veterans. Texas Roadhouse in The Colony, Texas will open early at noon for the special occasion and treat the group to steaks, ribs, burgers and more, free of charge.
Just the next day (Dec. 12) Stream and Operation Once in a Lifetime will co-host an American Girl Doll Experience for 10 young daughters of military members at the American Girl Doll store at the Galleria Mall in Dallas.
Once there, the girls will pick out a doll of their choosing and then be treated to lunch, dolls and all, at the American Girl Café. Afterward the girls and their families will retreat to the Gaylord Texas Resort for a guided tour of the ICE Exhibit. In addition to the young girls present at the event, several soldiers will join the experience to pick out dolls for other military daughters who live outside of the area as surprise gifts. Stream will be covering all costs of the day. Members of Stream’s Women of Power group, including CFO Renée Hornbaker and Associates from the field, will also be on hand at the store to help the girls pick out their special dolls and the perfect accessories to go along with them.
In addition to the two upcoming events, Stream is holding a company-wide Toys for Troops toy drive at its corporate headquarters, benefitting Operation Once in a Lifetime (ending Dec. 14).
“We love the mission of Operation Once in a Lifetime and we’re very excited to partner with them this holiday season for these three initiatives,” said Kimberly Girard, community relations and events manager, Stream. “At Stream, we celebrate the courageousness of American heroes in our communities both inside and outside of our office walls, and this partnership gives us another fantastic outlet to express our gratitude to our veterans and their families.”
Operation Once in a Lifetime’s mission is to make the dreams of U.S. Soldiers and their families come true by providing free financial and moral support to U.S. Service members, their families and veterans regardless of rank, deployment, physical condition or branch of service.
“We’re thankful to Stream for helping provide these meaningful experiences to our local veterans this holiday season,” said Sgt. Patrick M. Sowers, founder, Operation Once in a Lifetime.
